joseph cartier morgan
in this photo, morgan has framed it so that the groom can be seen through the gap between the bride and presumably her father. the photo has been taken so that the focus of the photo is on the groom in the background where he appears sharper than the people in the foreground. this brings the viewers attention onto the grooms reaction to seeing the bride on her wedding day. furthermore, this focuses on the emotion felt by the groom rather than the typical focus on the bride.
this photo shows a couple in the reflection of what looks like a car mirror, showing affection. in the background, you can see the sea against a beautiful sunset. this is a classic romantic scene of two lovers spending time with each other alone.
for my documentary shoot over the holidays, i am going to focus on how both of my parent's parents celebrate christmas. one household is very festive and colourful with a christmas tree and decorations all over the house while the may have a small christmas tree on top of a cabinet and a few fairy lights but not to the same extent as my other grandparents. i could also focus on the amount of people in each household. for example, in one house there would be up to around 9 people at once whereas in the other household there would only be up to 6 people at once. after the loss of my nan earlier in the year, i could attempt to create the feeling that she's still there even if not in person.
